Wexford Schools To Strong For Dundalk in Darver
Today Wexford Schools group team booked their place against Louth Schools in the Final Group Team Game, as they overcame Dundalk Schools in Darver.
The Slaney siders made their intentions clear straight from the off when Cian Hughes raced through and fire a goal straight from the off. This set the tone for the remainder of the half and the model county added two more goals through Shamey Martin and impressive wing back Ben Martin. They went into the break 3-06 to 0-06 up.
To their credit Dundalk battled hard in the second half and didn’t let Wexford have it all their own way with the sharp shooting Kieran McCardle bagging two goals of his own. However, the gap proved to be too great as Wexford fired another three goals through Hughes, Martin and a fine effort from Barry Cloake.
Wexford can now look ahead to a battle with Louth Schools for a place in the Br Bosco Cup Quarter Finals.
