Season Starts With Bord Na Móna O’Byrne Cup, Walsh Cup & Kehoe Cup
Maybe your eyes lit up on Christmas morning when Santy left new gloves and a scarf under the Christmas tree.
If so, there’s no excuse not to wrap up well and head out to one of the football or hurling games across Leinster this weekend.
The Bord na Móna series begins this Saturday, incorporating the O’Byrne Cup, Walsh Cup and Kehoe Cup.
With several new managers in place for 2018, the games provide a perfect opportunity for counties to experiment with new players.
Following a positive response from supporters last season, it has been decided to maintain the format for the Bord na Móna series, with teams divided into groups. Midweek matches are scheduled for Wednesday evening, 3rd January, with the final round of group games on Sunday, 7th January.
