Talented youth from across the province will perform in the Leinster GAA Scór na nÓg finals at the National Opera House, Wexford on Sunday 14 January at 3p.m.

This competition will see young people, under the age of 17, perform to earn a place in the All Ireland Final which will be held in Sligo in February.

Categories included are Figure Dancing (Rince Foirne), Solo-Singing (Amhránaíocht Aonair), Recitation/Story-telling (Aithriseoireacht/Scéalaíocht), Ballad Group (Bailéad Ghrúpa), Stage Presentation (Léiriú Stáitse), Instrumental Music (Ceol Uirlise) and Set Dancing (Rince Seit).

This promises to be a highly entertaining competition with the best of music, song, dance and acting from across the province on show. Coiste Scór Laighean is delighted to hold this event in the National Opera House with the support of Wexford County Council.

Scór is a G.A.A. competition that combines all the colour and rivalry of Gaelic Games with the social/fun element of Ireland’s traditional past-times. The competition was established by the G.A.A. in 1969 with the aim of promoting Ireland’s traditional pastimes and culture while offering club members the chance to meet up, have fun and represent their club during the winter months. The Leinster Final of Scór na nÓg 2018 promises to be a wonderful day for all performers, clubs and counties.
