Beko Bua Restructures For Year Three
Beko and Leinster GAA Launch Quality Mark for Clubs
Yesterday saw Beko and Leinster GAA launch this year’s Beko Bua Programme at Croke Park. Now in its 3rd year of existence, the programme seeks to be the quality mark that all cubs should aspire to in terms of best practice for development and player retention. This year the programme has been restructured to ensure no barriers to entry and also further enhance the assistance Leinster GAA and Beko can lend to grassroots GAA, by giving them access to vital data.
Speaking at the launch Shane Kelly head of sales and marketing for Beko Ireland highlighted the importance of helping local clubs develop, “We are keen for this programme to be a rubber stamp on the good work that is undoubtedly going on in GAA clubs and communities across Leinster. By restructuring the programme, we are encouraging clubs to engage with us on a yearly basis and help us and Leinster GAA assist them in putting tangible structures in place which will secure their futures. This programme will serve to be the quality mark of best practice for all clubs”.
Present on the day to launch the programme were representatives from a cross section of clubs throughout the province including; Conor McGill of Ratoath GAA Club, Meath, Shane Mulligan of Mullinalaghta GAA Club, Longford, Martin Kavanagh of St. Mullins GAA Club, Carlow, Lauren Magee of Kilmacud Crokes GAA Club, Dublin, Grace Walsh of Tullaroan GAA Club, Kilkenny and two-time former Footballer of the year, Meath star Trevor Giles.
Speaking on the changes Leinster Chairman Jim Bolger is hopeful that they will act as a good guide for the staff of the Province “Leinster GAA is grateful for the support Beko continue to give them and is looking forward to the restructures that are now in place. For our staff to have access to real time data will give us a greater insight into the needs of individual clubs. It will help us develop Clubs on a case by case basis and ensure that the quality of the structures within them are at the highest possible level. Without the support of Beko we would struggle to bring the kind of assistance that may be required and we are very lucky to have had them on board as a partner these last three years”
