Leinster Under 21 Hurling Semi-Finals On Wednesday Evening
Championship games are coming thick and fast in Leinster at present and the action continues in Mullingar and Wexford this Wednesday evening.
The Bord Gais Energy Leinster Under 21 Hurling Championship semi-finals will throw-in at 7.30pm, with Westmeath hosting Kilkenny at TEG Cusack Park and Wexford welcoming Carlow to Innovate Wexford Park.
The winners will meet in the provincial final on Wednesday evening, 5th July.
The Westmeath v Kilkenny tie will bring back memories of one of the shock GAA results of 2016, also at TEG Cusack Park, when the Lake County knocked out The Cats at the quarter-final stage of this championship.
Kilkenny, therefore, will be out for revenge and have already defeated reigning champions Dublin, on a score of 0-21 to 0-16. But Westmeath approach the fixture on the back of a morale-boosting victory over Laois, after extra-time, by 1-20 to 0-21.
Wexford progressed to the semi-final with a big win over Offaly, 4-21 to 2-9, while Carlow edged out Kildare by 1-21 to 2-14.
