Offaly GAA Launch Player Webinar Series
Offaly Coaching and Games Staff today announced that they will be launching a series of Webinars specifically tailored towards players.
These webinars will coincide with their ongoing Coach Webinar Series. Speaking on the upcoming sessions Offaly Games Manager Liam O’Reilly said “We have had a really successful start to our Coaching Webinar sessions with over 300 Coaches from right across the Country viewing them. We just felt internally that a lot of the up skilling and sessions, that are currently being run, have slightly forgotten about the most important people, the players. We wanted to get back to trying to grow and develop them into better athletes and people.”
This series will look to help players build on things from a personal point of view. To this O’Reilly added that while things are stopped at the moment from a playing point of view, players should try to see this is as a benefit “When we are in the full flow of a season, to find the time to work on your Nutrition or Mentality can be difficult especially for younger players. This break in normality will give a lot of them a chance to develop quicker than they may have had were we in full flow.”
This thought process gave the Offaly staff the idea of bringing in current Senior Captains Ben Connelly and Niall Darby for a Q&A style session with player. “This will hopefully give our younger players and added boost to see how our Seniors are currently dealing with the same issues as them. Not only that but how they are using this time as an opportunity to grow individually”
The Offaly GAA Player Webinar Series kicks off on May 25th with Senior Hurling Team Nutritionist Eimear Bryant. Any players interested can register their interest in attending by clicking the below link
