Leinster GAA are proud to announce an Online Webinar Series for Learning & Development. This Series will look at various topics relating to Coaching, Participation and Well Being. The first 4 Workshops in the Series will be delivered by:
- Willie Cleary – Wexford GAA
- Michael Dempsey – Leinster GAA
- John Doyle – Kildare GAA
- Emmett Egan – Leinster GAA Performance Officer
Speaking of the announcement, Leinster GAA’s Learning & Development Manager Colm Clear spoke about the ground breaking nature of the Series “This Series will be a massive benefit to us at a Provincial Level. It will enable us to broaden the reach of those who can avail of our Development opportunities. Not only this, but once the Series is finished the videos will be released on our YouTube Channel, giving an even greater number of people the chance to engage with the content”.
Talk then shifted to the origins of the project “Earlier this year we delivered a number of webinars to coaches based in Australia and New Zealand. The success of these lead us to question why we weren’t providing similar platforms for domestic coaches. Our volunteer coaches are busy people, so the ability to avail of learning opportunities in a variety of ways will be of great benefit.”
It is hoped that Series of this type can become a regular fixture within Leinster GAA’s Learning & Development Calendar as the Province continues to upskill all those working within our Games.
The Series will kick off with ‘Creating the Hurling Habit’ presented by Wexford GAA’s Willie Cleary on September the 16th. The Course on the day is limited to 50 participants and those interested can register via the below form.
